Sadie Gray & family

Santa Rosa, CA

W
Story

On July 31st Sadie will be undergoing a Multi-Level Cervical Spinal Fusion surgery. This procedure will include shaving down bone spurs, clearing up severe spinal stenosis, and fusing three vertebrae to allow room for the two bulging discs that are putting pressure on her spinal cord. This will be an intensive surgery that will require that she take a minimum of 6 months off work to properly heal. Fortunately, Sadie is fully covered under her husband's insurance so all her medical expenses will be covered! (Thank goodness!) Unfortunately, as a self-employed hairstylist, she does not qualify for any type of disability insurance or financial assistance whatsoever. This means she will have zero income for the duration of her recovery time. Having used the last of her savings in an attempt to keep SadieJean & Co's doors open, she is left in a difficult position financially.

Special Notes

The girls start school on August 16 and could use easy/healthy breakfast and lunch items to pack and bring to school. Any yummy and healthy after school snacks are also welcome! Sadie stated that due to the type of surgery, it may be difficult for her to swallow certain foods, so lets treat the first few weeks like she just had her wisdom teeth out or her tonsils removed and try to provide soft foods to swallow/digest (soups, pudding, mashed potatoes, smoothies, etc.). Sadie reports that they are NOT PICKY EATERS! Her only request is no raw onions and Adam is not a fan of Mushrooms :D ALSO Sadie has a GoFundMe and any little bit helps in times like these! https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-sadie-gray-rest-and-recover-stress-free?utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet&utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook
