Hi everyone, My name is Amber, and I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. About a month ago, I was diagnosed with skin cancer. Since then, life has been a whirlwind of doctor’s visits, tests, and some tough news. I’m scheduled for major surgery on August 28th, and while I’m grateful the cancer hasn’t spread, the recovery will require me to be off work for at least a month. As someone who’s always worked hard and taken pride in being independent, asking for help is not easy.
