Help the Jones Family

Boyertown, PA

W
Story

Friday morning July 17th, our good friends that are like family experienced an unfortunate accident that has turned their world upside down temporarily, with a long road of recovery ahead. Kyle is one of the hardest workers we know, he is a strong, resilient man who always puts his family first. Everyday he wakes up and works before the sun comes up and gets home right before the sun goes down. He went to work like any other day, but on Friday unfortunately fell from the roof of a building when close to clipping his harness, slipped and fell on to concrete causing both tibias to break in both legs and fracturing his hip. He had a 6 hour surgery and had two rods placed in his legs that are permanent. He is still experiencing a lot of pain while trying to process all of what happened and the long road ahead for him to get back on his feet. This man never stops moving and is always helping everyone else around him. He doesn’t hesitate to help a friend, neighbor, or random stranger who may need a hand on any given day. He will give the shirt off his back or the last dollar he has just because that’s who he is. We are all grateful he is still here with us and that he is able to recover. Recovery is going to be long, he will not be able to be mobile for 3+ months with a recovery up to a year. He will be bed bound for months and require a wheelchair and lots of physical therapy. They’re going to have to get a ramp for Kyle, and make adjustments to their home to accommodate his recovery. With 4 young children this makes it hard for them to navigate everything that their household regularly requires. Melissa will need all the help of her village and community, and while she’s not someone to ever ask for help, as her friend I’m asking that everyone help come together and help her through this rough patch so she feels as supported and stress free as possible. Anything helps and the Jones family are very grateful for anything no matter how small.

Special Notes

When signing up for meals, the family has 4 children ages are 12, 4, 18 months and 4 months old. They are grateful for anything, and don’t have any diet restrictions. They love any meals with meat, vegetables, pasta and their children love fruit. If you have any questions feel free to reach out.
