Hi there! My name is Sage. I am a 23 year old homeless trangender male. I've been in KC for 5 years, I have no home support. I lost my job as a nature conservation volunteer due to government fund cutting. The issues of our world are becoming more and more detrimental to the lives of everyday people trying to survive. I'm one of those. My car's engine blew up last year, I was working Uber eats and part time at a factory. Uber eats was my primary form of income and due to losing that and not being able to find better income I lost my home. I have a chronic illness known as Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. It causes extreme pain and joint issues. I'm limited to the jobs I can get because my right shoulder is supposed to undergo surgery to anchor the joint together. I've been on the streets for almost a year, I'm waiting for a housing voucher to come through. The job market is absolutely awful and while I do work part time I can't sustain food or basic needs for myself.
