Welcome friends and family to “Team Amy”, Amy’s organized care package support team. As you all know, Amy was recently diagnosed with highly invasive stage 4 colon cancer. In the coming weeks, Amy will begin treatment. During this time, we are hoping to shower Amy with love, support, and care. If you’re interested in participating, please use this page to “schedule” a care package (letter, gift, text, etc.) to send to Amy. You will notice you are only able to sign up for a given Saturday. This is intentional, so Amy receives a continuous stream of support on a weekly basis (you are welcome to send your gift around your scheduled date, Saturday not required). Please do not send flowers, blankets, or lotion per Amy’s request! On your scheduled date, please send a care package of your choosing as well as mail Amy a picture of you and your loved ones holding a sign for Amy (“We love you Amy!”, “Amy’s Prayer Warriors”, etc.). We are hoping these pictures can serve as a visual reminder to Amy of how large her support team is. All support is welcome! We are hoping to keep logistics and decisions light for Amy and Robbie, so please reserve your texts to them as texts of love and support. Words can be incredibly difficult to find during this time. We’ve reassured Amy that her response is not required for any texts she receives. We encourage you to remind her of that! A simple “no need to respond” within your text helps give her peace of mind.
