Story

I created this page for my sister, Sophia, who has been battling Ewing's sarcoma cancer since she was 15 years old. She is now 22 years old and has been battling cancer for about seven years. She is currently on her 4th battle with cancer. I want to help my sister and my family in any way I can with the gracious and thoughtful help of others. My family is truly thankful for any help or donation. My sister receives all of her cancer treatments at Children's Mercy in Kansas City. For about seven years, my family has been traveling back and forth to Kansas City. This has been very difficult due to our home being four hours away from her specialists and hospital. Gas, groceries, bills, travel expenses, meals, daily living costs, and essential expenses are never-ending and continuously add up, especially for a family of four who travel frequently. For example, since my sister's 4th relapse in March 2025, we have been traveling every one to two weeks for chemotherapy treatments, radiation treatments, additional doctor check-ups, scans, blood transfusions, platelet transfusions, unexpected emergencies, fevers, etc. I know my sister and family are grateful for any help. Each dollar counts. I would like to help my family financially, and most of all, nothing would bring me more joy than to surprise my sister with gifts, gift cards, donations, etc., to help her enjoy the times that she is home or able to be out of the hospital, as this has been a long and heartbreaking battle for her. I love her so much and would love to support her. Along with this, I would be so happy to help my parents by surprising them with hotel cards, gas cards, meal cards, and grocery cards to help during this time. Feel free to visit the wishlist on this page or donate via Venmo, etc. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! #SophiaStrong Sincerely, Holly Linenberger
