Help Jonathon Rebuild His Life After a Life-Changing Accident Last Sunday, Jonathon celebrated his 27th birthday. Just days later, his life was changed forever. Jonathon was involved in a devastating car accident that resulted in the loss of his leg. He is now facing a long and incredibly difficult road ahead. He will be spending the next several weeks in the hospital, going through rehabilitation and learning how to walk again. Jonathon is a young father, an athlete, and someone who has always been hardworking and independent. He loves basketball, being active, bartending and so much of what he loves about life now feels like it has been suddenly put on hold. His biggest goal is to regain his independence, learn to navigate life with his prosthetic, and eventually get back to doing the things he loves — especially being there for his young son. To make this even more difficult, most of Jonathon’s family lives in Chicago, leaving him far from much of his support system while he goes through this incredibly challenging time. Although Jonathon does have health insurance, there are still going to be significant expenses that insurance may not fully cover. Between medical and rehabilitation costs, a prosthetic leg, transportation after losing his car, lost income after losing his job, and the cost of securing an apartment while he rebuilds his life, the financial burden is overwhelming. Every donation will help give Jonathon something he desperately needs right now: the ability to focus on healing instead of worrying about how he is going to afford everything that comes next.
