Supporting the Pitkin Posse

W
Story

Early in 2026, our amazing friend Jordan Pitkin was diagnosed with Stage Three Breast Cancer. From the moment they began sharing her diagnosis, people have been asking how they can help. From San Diego to Visalia to Arizona to Texas, this family has loved people well and built a tremendous community that now loves them back—fiercely. To make it easier for everyone to support Jordan and AJ, we’ve created this page as a central place to help and provide updates. As Jordan is just beginning her treatment journey, it’s hard to know exactly what needs will arise. Because of that, we want to offer support in the most flexible and practical way possible. There is a “Donate via Venmo” button on this page that allows you to give funds directly to AJ and Jordan. Additionally, you can send funds through Zelle by using AJ's phone number (619.808.2083) to search for his account. These gifts will help meet the many needs that will come up throughout this journey. Right now, some of the biggest ways your support will help include providing funds for the areas listed below: Meal Support Funds will be used for grocery orders, DoorDash, Grubhub, and similar services to ease the burden of meal planning and preparation during this season. The goal is to be able to provide 2-3 meals per week, anticipated cost would be $75-$100 per meal with delivery fees. House Cleaning Services The hope is to hire a professional cleaner once a month to help maintain a clean, calm, and restful home environment throughout treatment. The anticipated cost is $100 - $150 per month. Lawn Care & Yard Work Support may cover a one-time service to bring the yard to a manageable baseline, with the possibility of ongoing monthly care. This will help keep the yard safe, accessible, and enjoyable for the kids to play outside. The anticipated cost is $100 - $150 per month. Other Needs as They Arise It’s difficult to anticipate everything that may be needed along the way. One of the organizers’ greatest hopes is that finances will not be a limiting factor when it comes to providing care, comfort, and support for Jordan and the entire family throughout this fight. Updates: We will also be using the page to share updates along the way. Sign-up as a supporter to see the updates! AJ Shared the message below on February 6 as Jordan started her chemo journey: Stage three breast cancer. Today Jordan starts chemotherapy. Her first of 12 treatments over the next six months. One of the chemo drugs is Adriamycin - it’s bright red & appropriately nicknamed the “red devil.” That’s not branding. It’s a toxin. Strong enough to kill cancer. Strong enough to remind us how serious this is. We’re holding two things at once. Faith and fear. Hope and grief. Confidence in God and the reality that this road is heavy. We believe in healing. We also believe in honesty. This is not a victory lap. It’s a long obedience. One day. One infusion. One prayer at a time. We’re asking for prayer. For Jordan’s body to endure. For the medicine to do exactly what it’s meant to do. For peace that doesn’t make sense. For strength when ours runs thin. We’re choosing to trust the God who heals. Not because it’s easy. Because He’s faithful. “He sent out His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave.” Psalm 107:20 #ᴄᴀɴᴄᴇʀsᴜᴄᴋs
