Anastasia’s Recovery Squad: Meals, Rests & Gentle Supervision

Oklahoma City, OK

Story

Anastasia Pittman is many things, strong, active, and always on the move, but resting quietly is not one her strengths. She is also a servant and supporter at heart: someone who consistently shows up for others, goes above and beyond without hesitation, and pours into people and community, often while asking very little for herself. Accepting that same level of care in return? That part takes a little more convincing. On December 18, Anastasia will undergo rotator cuff surgery, and while the procedure itself is routine, the immediate recovery will take several weeks and requires something she’s not known for: slowing down, resting, and letting others take care of her. So, on her behalf, we’re calling in the village. This page was created to surround Anastasia with care during her recovery, especially during the holiday season, so she can focus on healing instead of trying to do everything herself (per usual ). Meals, gift cards, check-ins, and thoughtful gestures will help make sure she stays comfortable, nourished, and not using her arm. And just a friendly public service announcement: if you happen to see Anastasia out and about before the New Year, please lovingly and politely tell her to get back in the house 😂 Rest is not optional, it’s prescribed. Whether you’re able to provide a meal, send a gift card, offer encouragement, or lift her up in prayer, every act of support is deeply appreciated. We’ll share updates and photos once surgery is complete. Until then, thank you for helping us pour back into someone who has poured so much into others. With gratitude and love, The Village
