As those of you closest to CBook and our family know, mom was diagnosed with what we think is Stage 1 Endometrial Cancer (yay, catching it early!). Mom did a great job listening to her body and knowing when things felt off. After many tests and some concerning potential other identified nodes, we are able to move forward for now with no radiation/chemo and start by having her uterus and nearby lymphnodes removed (in addition to a few other things). We will send e-mail through this platform to you all, but feel free also to reach out to me (Maura), Barry, or Ted. Several friends and family members have kindly asked how they can help during Mom's recovery. The biggest need over the next week or two will simply be making meals a little easier. If anyone would like to help, I've created an optional meal train for takeout or meal delivery. Please know that your well wishes and messages of support are welcome and more than enough — this is simply another way to lend a hand if you'd like. ❤️
