Single Mother recovering Back Surgery

W
Story

I’m raising funds for a single mother of three children, ages 14, 8, and 9, who is facing back surgery today at 8 PM. She is the sole provider for her household, and right now her family needs support while she goes through surgery and begins recovery. In 2021, a serious car accident left her with broken ribs, broken collarbones, and a slipped disc. After therapy, she worked her way back to the career she loves as an Applied Behavior Analyst, working with children on the autism spectrum. Recently, a flare-up at work affected her L4 and S1 discs, leaving her in excruciating pain and with loss of sensation on the right side of her body. She now needs surgery and is expected to be out of work for about three months while she heals. For a mother who has always provided for her children, this pause is not a choice. While she is in the hospital and recovering, her children will still need the basics and stability. Donations will help cover rent, transportation, and food for her children so they are cared for while she focuses on healing. She is not asking for help because she does not want to work. She is asking because her body is forcing her to stop and recover. She has spent her life being strong for her children, and now she needs support from others to help carry her family through this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial burden and make sure her children do not go without while she recovers. If you are not able to give, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much.
