Why I Started This CareInKind Page I created this CareInKind page to support my sister and her family during a journey none of us ever imagined—a six-year battle with cancer that has required deep faith, perseverance, and trust in God’s plan. Throughout these years, there have been countless treatments, appointments, uncertainties, and moments that have tested all of us. Through it all, one truth has remained constant: God is in control. We believe in the power of prayer and have seen how prayers—spoken, whispered, and lifted by many—have carried her and our family through the hardest days. Even when the road feels unclear, we trust that God’s hands are steady, His timing is perfect, and His presence is near. While my sister continues to fight this battle, life does not slow down. With three teenagers and one preteen, daily life is still full—school schedules, activities, meals, responsibilities, and the everyday needs of a busy household continue, even on the days when her strength is limited. Cancer doesn’t pause life, and the demands of caring for a family remain constant. This page was created as a way for friends, family, and our community to come together in prayer and practical support. Whether you are praying faithfully, providing a meal, helping with daily needs, or offering encouragement, every act of kindness is a reflection of God’s love in action. Most of all, this page is meant to remind my sister and her family that they are not walking this path alone. They are covered in prayer, surrounded by love, and held by a God who sees every detail. Thank you for being here, for lifting them up in prayer, and for supporting them in any way you feel led. Your prayers and generosity mean more than words can express. For the past five years Ashleigh has been through all of this: Breast cancer Chemo Double mastectomy and reconstruction Mini heart issues Long Mets with lung surgery Half a lung now on one side 41 spots on the brain Multiple radiation stents Chemo two more times Immunotherapy for a half year 2 strokes 2 lung blood clots 2 blood clots in legs Many side effects from all the treatment and medications Most recently vision loss and left side mobility loss. God has been so very faithful during this journey. Lots of you have followed along and have offered so much support and help and biggest request PRAYERS. Ashleigh has asked for prayers but the support is needed a little differently right now.
Thank you 🙏🏼
