Story
We are having a baby! Anne is due April 21st, but Gloria was 3 weeks early so who knows what will happen! Making this page to organize meal drop offs for folks who would like to support our growing family. The day of the food and even the time doesnt really matter, we just have these as placeholders because that can be helpful. Visiting the fam: We are doing a 5-5-5 thing ideally, where Anne is spending the first 5 days in the bed, the next 5 days on the bed, and the next 5 days near the bed. (And then hopefully walking across the stage at graduation if all goes well). If you’d like to support the family in the early post partum period, feel free to bring food, drop off food, or pop in to help out with a chore (such as washing dishes, taking trash out, doing a load of laundry, or prepping the garden— excited for a spring baby and realizing that means we might be distracted and not get to garden). Depending on if Gloria knows you and the timing, they may also love some hang out time at the park across the street or the back yard. Just reach out to Lorenzo or Anne to coordinate. As new baby will be still building up their immunity and Lorenzo will have parental leave, its likely that holding the baby may not be the most helpful thing those first few weeks. That said, we do want you to meet them eventually and are grateful for the community this baby will be born into. Special Notes
Anne doesn’t eat gluten. Favorite food type for delivery is thai (tom kha or tom yum, and gloria’s favorite is chicken satay) or vietnamese (pho). Anne’s favorite special drink is a small or medium iced matcha latte with a shot of vanilla if you ever happen to stop by during the day. Best mexican nearby is Que Taco, and the esquite and the street tacos are delicious.
