Vinney and Everette, a mother and son duo who believed in Love as an action word, truly cared for those who lacked in any form or fashion. Everette, my uncle was truly a man after God's own heart. he had a soft spot for the seniors and the elderly. While his mother was a senior, he took care of her like the Queen she was! They both knew the God they served was in the blessing business and that it was more blessed to give than to receive. In doing so the more they gave, the more blessings they received. The Lord loves a cheerful giver! Vinney (Elvira) Johns, my granny. Oh, my how I miss her! She told me a bible verse when I was in the Hospital as a child. It was Psalms 121:1-2 "I will look to the Hills from whence cometh my help. My Help cometh from the Lord which made the Heavens and the Earth." I have always remembered that, and it has gotten me through thick and thin! She also told me that when I help/ Bless someone, to do it expecting nothing in return. That is what truly makes it a blessing! My granny's hands were like a warm blanket to everyone and thing she touched. My Uncle's Heart was made from the love of God! He gave so much in the way that he met everyone the love he showed to others had no boundaries. Thus, the name, "Vinnie's Hands Everette's Heart Foundation" was born after the passing of them both.
