Anyone who knows Boomer knows that helping others is second nature to him. Yesterday, that generosity put him in harm’s way when he stopped to help strangers push their broken-down car off the road. In a heartbreaking moment, another driver didn’t see the stopped vehicle and swerved to avoid it, striking Boomer instead. Boomer suffered a severe leg injury; He’s already undergone one surgery and will head into another tomorrow. Cindy and a close circle of friends are caring for him around the clock. He has loved ones by his side 24 hours a day, surrounding him with love, strength, and faith as he begins a long recovery journey. This will be a long road ahead, and Boomer will face both physical and financial challenges. He works with his hands at Lighthouse Outdoor Designs, and while he focuses on healing, he will be unable to work for quite some time.
