Supporting the Miura Ohana

Story

Help support the Miuras while Diane recovers from surgery. Dianes post of what suddenly happened. Monday morning while I was at work, things changed fast. In less than 30 minutes, I went from 0 to 100 on the pain scale. Thankfully, Kainoa was with me—I asked him to help me stretch my back, hoping it would pass and patch me through the day until I got home to Jonathan. But the pain only grew worse. I was able to leave work, drive home, and meet Jonathan, who took me straight to the hospital. We spent 4–5 hours in the ED before being called back. The pain was something I had never felt before in my life. I knew it was serious. After two CT scans, I was relieved to learn we are not expecting 🤣—but they did find a large mass on my left kidney that had ruptured. I was admitted from Monday until Friday so the doctors could bring my blood pressure back down to a safe level. She is now home and getting back to work. Next is surgery on October 9th (Kainoa's birthday) to remove the kidney and mass. This is a big surgery and the family could definitely use support and prayers. Please keep them in your prayers leading up to, durring, and after surgery. Several of you have asked how you can help so I have set up this page for meals to help ease some of the stress off the family.
