Yesterday, Abby, her four young children (ages 6, 4, 2, and 8 months), and her sister, Lexy, were involved in a devastating head-on collision on Schofield Road after another driver swerved into their lane. Both vehicles caught fire, but by God’s grace, a heroic bystander rushed to their rescue, pulling all six from their burning van before it was completely engulfed in flames. The family was transported to three different hospitals. Abby and three of the children were taken to South Lake Hospital, Lexy to ORMC, and one child sent to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital. Close family friends quickly came together to ensure no one was alone while waiting for family members to arrive. Miraculously, everyone survived. Abby sustained fractures to her ribs & sternum and a broken collarbone, Lexy suffered a broken nose, other injuries to her face, and has a lot of lower body pain. Both adults are very beaten up. The children are recovering well, though bruised and shaken, with one possibly having a concussion. Thankfully, everyone is expected to return home soon, where they will be cared for by their loving husband and father Kyle, grandparents and friends. However, the road to recovery will take time. We are asking our community to surround this family with prayer, love, and support during this difficult season. If you feel led to bless them with a meal, gift card, flowers, donations or anything you feel led to, we’ve organized this page to help ease the burden of everyday responsibilities while they focus on healing and being together. Their van is completely burned up along with everything that was in it. I added some notes below on food and specific needs! Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus to this precious family. ❤️
Allergies: FISH & PEACHES! They eat mainly anything with chicken or beef! Their kids are very snacky type kids so any snacks on the healthier side will work! Their favorite fast food restaurants: Chick fil A Culver’s (their kids LOVE Culver’s) Abby’s favorite restaurant down here is Salt Shack! Pizza- papa John’s Their Zoe Baby double stroller is gone and they also need to get 4 new car seats for the kids as well. So if you feel led to donate towards a new double stroller or car seats that would be helpful as well! If you’re a parent you know good quality strollers and car seats aren’t cheap! **UPDATE: we are set for car seats!! 🙌🏼❤️** Thanks for loving on the Blair Family!
