Love for Winston and family

Sarasota, FL

W
Story

This page was created for our amazing Deborah to support her and family in Winston’s time in NICU and medical needs ahead. He is thankfully home now but the journey and process to get there was huge for little man and our mama to endure. Please see her story below and let us support her in any way possible ♥️ From Deborah ♥️ Our little NICU grad is finally home!! We are forever grateful to the incredible team at JHACH for caring for our son during his youngest and most vulnerable days. We are forever grateful to our community for showing up when we needed love and support and cheerleaders. The current diagnosis for Winston is congenital lobar emphysema (CLE). The goal is to keep him healthy with us, living a normal baby life, for about 6 months. At that point from what we understand we are looking at an elective surgery to remove the unhealthy lung tissue. This would allow healthy lung tissue to fill in that space as he grows so that he isn’t limited later in life. For now? Showing him what the world is like outside a hospital. Getting to know our home, and big sis. And the maximum amount of snuggles one can have in a day. Our family is home and our family is complete ❤️
