So the home that I rent in Hope Mills NC is rented with utilities included. I paid my rent on the 3rd and everything was going ok. Then on the 12th my power goes off. I couldn’t get in touch with my landlord for several hours. He was honest and told me he gambled the money away. That in order to get my power back on it was gonna cost me &397. Why so high? Well he had not paid it since April. I called the NC Utilities Commission and they called Duke Energy and I was able to get them back on for $180. All of this took 3 days. By that time all my food had gone bad. I have begged borrowed and pleaded and can’t get anyone to help us eat. I am so hungry right now and I don’t know what to do. Please help me
