On Monday, December 8, 2025, the Reyes family suffered an unexpected and devastating loss with the passing of Mike - a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend. Roxanne is now facing the unimaginable task of moving forward while caring for their three young children under the age of 10. She and Mike also have two adult children, and together they recently welcomed a new grandchild into the family. As a community, we are coming together to support Roxanne and her family during this heartbreaking time. Our goal is to help ease her burden by providing meals over the next few weeks through the holidays and financially assist with both immediate expenses and childcare needs. There are three different ways you can help the Reyes Family: 1. Sign up for a meal below! There are several ways to deliver a meal to Rox over the next few weeks, including Christmas and New Years. - Frozen/Assembled Meals: Materials Engineering will be collecting frozen and easy-to-assemble meals in B128, 3rd Floor Fridge to be delivered every Tuesday and most Fridays. Rox may also pick them up in-person as she feels able. Please use disposable containers and plan for the timing of the next delivery when including perishable items (fruits, veggies, salads). If your meal is large enough to cover lunch and dinner for 4 people, feel free to to sign up for both on a given day. - Gift Cards for Meals or Groceries: Send a DoorDash or Uber Eats gift card (for meals) or an Instacart gift card (for groceries). Keep in mind long-distance delivery charges—typically $5 (DoorDash/Uber Eats) to $20 (Instacart), not including tip. -Direct-Made Meals or App Service: If you know her personally, you can coordinate directly with Rox for in-person delivery or schedule one through an app. These may be especially needed near Christmas and New Years. It’s important to stay connected and gestures and moments from friends make all the difference in times like these. 2. Your donation will provide Roxanne with some relief during this difficult time with expenses, help ease the financial burden of the upcoming holidays, help meet the ever-changing needs of the children and childcare over the coming months.
