Hey everyone! This page is created for Sarah and the rest of her family to help them welcome in their second baby, Andy. One of the greatest things for a new mom is for others to take things off her plate while she heals and eases into postpartum. Let’s gather around this family and support them through food, encouragement, funds for unexpected expenses, etc. It may be tempting to be all about baby for a while, but let’s not forget Darcie girl, Nate, and our powerhouse mom, Sarah! We can be the village that holds them during this big transition. Sarah is due August 11th, but we all know that babies have their own timing. Keep your eyes peeled for any changes to the calendar and new updates!
Let’s talk food folks! Of course anything is appreciated but there are certain things that would be extra great for postpartum. To help Sarah heal faster after birth, foods that are high in nutrients, warming, and easily digestible are going to be great! Think soups, stews, curries, etc. Some other meal ideas are chicken and rice, meatballs and pasta, chili, or maybe a salmon bake with assorted veggies! Nothing spicy and no mashed potatoes please. Hot and ready to eat meals, one handed snacks (easy for eating while feeding a baby), freezer meals, and gifts cards to order food are all super appreciated!
