Remember her? Yes…her. The woman with the contagious smile, the wild spirit, and the biggest heart. The loyal friend, devoted wife, and incredible mother of four. The woman who has already faced unimaginable heartbreaks with grace and courage, yet somehow continues to love fiercely and show up for everyone around her. She’s also the woman who just heard the words no one ever wants to hear: “You have breast cancer.” Some of you already know what’s been happening, while others may be hearing this for the first time. After finding a lump in her breast, Desiree scheduled a mammogram. From there, everything happened so fast—more imaging, a biopsy, and then the phone call that changed everything. The cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, and while there are still many unanswered questions, one thing is certain: she’s about to face the biggest fight of her life. The months ahead will be filled with appointments, surgeries, treatments, and days when simply getting through the day will take everything she has. While she’s preparing to fight cancer, we want to help lighten the load in the ways we can. That’s why I created this Give InKind page. If you’d like to support Desiree and her family, you can sign up to provide a meal, send something from her Amazon wish list, make a monetary gift to help with expenses, or simply leave a message letting her know she’s loved and being prayed for. Please don’t ever feel like you have to give financially. Your prayers, your encouragement, and sharing this page are just as meaningful. Right now, those prayers are what she needs most. As this journey unfolds, I’ll continue to share updates here so everyone can follow along and continue lifting Desiree and her family up. Cancer affects an entire family, and no one should have to walk through it alone. If Desiree’s story encourages even one person to do a self-exam, schedule a mammogram, or listen to their body, something good can come from something so incredibly difficult. Thank you for taking the time to read her story. Thank you for praying, for caring, and for loving this amazing family during one of the hardest seasons of their lives. Every act of kindness—whether it’s a meal, a message, a prayer, or simply sharing this page—means more than you know.
