Wrapping the Crawford Family in Love and Support

W
Story

Wrapping the Crawford Family in Love If you know Gretchen, you know she is the first to show up for the people she loves. She quietly does it all—for Charlie, Olivia, Clare, and Mia—and she's always there for her family and friends, often before anyone has to ask. Yesterday, while at OrangeTheory, Gretchen experienced numbness in her left arm and slurred speech. Thankfully, there were nurses in class who immediately recognized what was happening, cared for her, and called 911. Because of their quick actions, Gretchen received medical care right away. She is currently at Atrium Main after experiencing a small stroke. As many of you know, Gretchen is a lefty, and right now her left hand isn't working the way she needs it to, making many everyday tasks much more challenging. The good news is that she is otherwise healthy, active, and incredibly strong, and because she received medical care so quickly, there is every reason to be hopeful as she begins her recovery. While we don't yet know exactly what the road ahead will look like, we do know that giving her time to rest, heal, and focus on therapy is one of the best gifts we can offer. This page has been created to help lighten the load for the Crawford family by coordinating celiac-friendly meals, laundry assistance, and contributions toward a professional house cleaning service. By taking care of some of life's everyday responsibilities, we can give Gretchen the space to focus on healing while Charlie, Olivia, Clare, and Mia focus on being together. Gretchen has spent years caring for others. She is the friend who shows up, lends a hand, remembers the little things, and gives of herself so generously. Now it's our turn to show up for her. Whether you sign up to bring a meal, help with laundry, contribute toward house cleaning, or simply keep the Crawford family in your thoughts and prayers, every act of kindness will make a difference. Thank you for wrapping the Crawford family in the same love, generosity, and care that Gretchen has so freely given to so many of us. We know she will feel every bit of it.
