My clumsy self walked into a wall. I started to brush off my shirt where I felt something off. I had felt a lump. After appointments, multiple scans, and biopsies, I got the call today that I have breast cancer. My world shattered for my family. My first thought was how am I suppose to be the patient when I’m the one who takes care of everything. I closed my eyes and immediately prayed for peace, for the calming of storm. Gus rounded the porch and he was my strength, what I knew I needed to raise up against this and beat it. I have more scans, surgeries, and multiple treatments ahead of me. (Gus only knows mommy isn’t feeling well). This is ONLY the beginning and FAR from my end. Please pray for my family. The physical, emotional, and financial burden will take a toll on us but we will overcome this. Isaiah 41:10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. God’s got this and is in complete control. So here’s to the beginning of a journey I didn’t think I would have to take, but I’m along for the ride and I’m not backing down.
