Dear friends and family, As some of you may know Jessenia is recovering from surgery. Jessie has been dealing with what she thought were migraines, but turns out they were TIA’s (mini-fake strokes) caused by kinks in her carotid artery blocking blood flow to her brain. Thankfully, doctors caught it fast and performed a 4-hour surgery at Emory on Monday, Nov 3rd -it went perfectly. We are hoping for discharge Nov 5. She has strict physical restrictions for 6 weeks, she will need to rest for the next two weeks, she can not drive for three weeks. We would be so thankful if you can join a four-week meal train, Monday, Wednesday and Friday only, for the Gutierrez family of four starting Nov, 7. Weekends are covered. Please keep it simple, if able please drop between 3p and 6p. Another alternative would be grocery store or Sam’s club gift cards to help with essential groceries. We are so thankful to all the love and support during this very challenging time.
Jessenia will need plenty of rest, visits are limited for this week, but she will welcome texts. After next week, brief visits can be arranged. As you know Maribel is delicate but will want to visit with Jessenia or be with the children. We'd appreciate it if visitors came only when they're 100% fully healthy. Thank you for keeping Jessenia and the rest of the family safe.
