Caring for the Klus Family During Jay's Recovery

W
Story

Jay was the victim of this ramming accident that then became a rollover accident and then his car bursting into flames. He survived, had been hospitalized, was released, went back down to NC to their brand new house, had clavicle repair surgery but was then diagnosed with septic shock in the ER and was on life support to heal his body. Jay is a fighter. He was on life support and full ventilation as they performed multiple surgeries to clear the sepsis from his body. He is now breathing on his own but he has a hard path back to recovery. They just moved into a new home in Thomasville, NC days before the accident and have been operating in survival mode ever since. Being in a new place without a local support system is hard enough but throwing in a traumatic accident has made it incredibly difficult. I am hoping we can all try to lighten their load and lift them up with the support of friends and family during this time. https://hudsonvalleycountry.com/ulster-county-ny-thruway-accident/?fbclid=IwY2xjawTVmORleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEehi3ZfOlP_3xr-aJqE2WtM2nAkmqofpZLB5pF4GZQxn_y6CoeEDjHlJgj20Y_aem_9_DF3Jm5GforEUdkD0tKHw

Special Notes

Jay will be hospitalized or in a rehab facility for about another month. Megan and the kids are going back and forth between Thomasville, NC and Winston-Salem every day so the most helpful things would be support for gas and easy meals for them. Places they could use: Bojangles, Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Cook Out, Chick Fil A and Starbucks. I have added links for direct purchase of some of these as this site allows, but BoJangles, Cookout and Chick Fil A aren't affiliates of this site. Donations of gift cards of those three can be directly sent to: [email protected]
