Story

On 07 MAY 25, Elisha had a bad fall at home while I was on my way to the doctor and injured his left foot/ankle. We thought all he needed was a lift assist from local fire fighters and EMS crew, but things were more serious than he suspected. Once he was transported to the emergency room, X-rays showed closed fractures. It's unfortunate because his right foot is very weak due to his Muscular Dystrophy, and now he can't bear weight on either leg. He relies on his power chair within/outside of the home and others for assistance almost exclusively, but now he is more dependent than ever. We are blessed to have a wonderful team of caregivers, but we are only able to do so much. The most important aspect of this situation is that his spirits are up and mood is positive.

Special Notes

We ask that you reach out to us via text for encouragement and care updates as rest, rehabilitation, and recovery are going to be the main focus for Elisha, especially post-surgery, which is inevitable. We will be welcoming visitors once we know he is stable and willing to have company. We request that if you have any signs or symptoms of illness, please respectfully keep your distance. Because we don’t have social media, we are using this platform as an alternative to get the word out for support and assistance. Please feel free to share, but understand that we are typically a very private/discreet family so do so with discretion. Your prayers are always appreciated.
