On June 7, 2026, Luke and MaryBeth welcomed their beautiful daughter, Cora Jennings Nickerson, into the world. What should have been a time filled with joy and precious newborn memories quickly turned into every parent's nightmare. Less than two weeks after being born, Cora was admitted to the ICU. She has been diagnosed with pneumonia caused by a condition called laryngomalacia. Every time she eats, she aspirates into her lungs, making even the simplest moments incredibly frightening. Since being hospitalized, Cora has been on a feeding tube, and her oxygen levels have fluctuated, creating an emotional roller coaster for her family as they anxiously wait for answers and improvements. Cora is undergoing extensive testing and is being transferred from UMass Memorial to Boston Children's Hospital for specialized care. There is also the possibility that she may need surgery, adding another layer of uncertainty to an already overwhelming situation. Throughout all of this, Luke and MaryBeth have been taking turns staying at the hospital each night while the other remains home with their son, Kevin. The constant travel, sleepless nights, emotional stress, and uncertainty have placed an enormous burden on the entire family. We are creating this fundraiser to help ease some of the financial and day-to-day pressures they are facing so they can focus on what matters most—being there for Cora and Kevin. Donations will help with travel expenses, meals, extra hours for their nanny, parking, and the many unexpected costs that come with having a child hospitalized and receiving specialized care away from home. Most importantly, we ask for all the prayers, positive thoughts, and good energy you can send Cora's way. She is a strong little fighter, but she has a long road ahead. Your support, encouragement, and kindness mean more to Luke, MaryBeth, Kevin, and the entire family than words can express as they navigate this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, share, and message of encouragement means more than words can express. Thank you for helping Luke and MaryBeth focus on their baby girl and her road to recovery. An extra shout out to Luke and MaryBeth, whose strength and unwavering love for their children have been truly admirable during this incredibly difficult time. Despite the exhaustion, fear, and uncertainty, they continue to show up every day for both Cora and Kevin with remarkable courage and dedication. Their love for their family shines through even in the darkest moments. We love you guys!
