Welcome Home baby Robin!

Madison, WI

Story

Our little Robin Gael Billingham-Woods joined us on August 27th at 3:23am and we’re so excited! We’re lucky enough that our friends and family want to bring us meals, walk Daisy, do housecleaning/yard work so we hoped this might help everyone feel confident in supporting us. Margaret is healthy and happy, and plans to stay that way. Many cute baby pictures upcoming!! If we’ve added you here, no pressure at all. Encouraging texts with words of wisdom or affirmations will also go a long way in helping us cope with the upcoming sleep deprivation 🥰

Special Notes

FOOD/MEALS-  If you are planning on bringing/preparing meals here are our preferences to support healthy lactation and recovery: -I’m allergic to  pork, beef, and brown lentils. Please cook ingredients thoroughly so they are easy to digest.  -Organic and/or local ingredients preferred for healthy breastfeeding  -Meals high in soluble fiber, folate, and iron. Low in saturated fats and processed sugars. We love family recipes and sentimental favorites. Some favorite ingredients for inspiration are: kale, potatoes, frozen and fresh fruit, squash, quinoa, beans, free-range antibiotic-free chicken, pasture raised eggs, pasta, soup, & tofu Favorite restaurants and stores: - Willy Street Coop  - Trader Joe’s  - Ahan  - Green Owl  - Taste of India  - Everly - Maharani - Noodles & Company  - Crumble Cookies  -VISITING ROBIN- Please contact us directly to set up a visit. Understand we may not be able to respond to texts and calls quickly and are limiting visits for the next few weeks. General things to please keep in mind: -Everyone washes hands upon entering the house. -Please don’t show up unannounced   -Plan to keep visits short and establish length of visit ahead of time -Be prepared for possible nursing as we’ll be prioritizing Robin’s cues over our schedule and understand if we need to cut things short to take care of him. -Try to keep Wisconsin goodbyes shorter than 10 minutes, especially if Robin seems stressed.  - if unable to be boosted in 2025 please take Covid test prior to coming over.  -be aware that a newborn with a fever needs hospitalization, spinal tap, and intense antibiotic treatment. We don’t like having to be strict, but nothing is worth endangering our baby’s life. There is currently a measles outbreak in Wisconsin and RSV season is about to start. Please on the side of caution when unsure💜 PLEASE DON’T VISIT IF: -you have any symptoms (including allergies)  -you have been exposed to anybody who has been sick or had symptoms -if you don’t have all measles/chicken pox/rubella HPV vaccines and tdap vaccine (please FaceTime or call instead, we’d still love to hear from you 💕) WHEN TO MASK: -Wear a mask when inside -All guests wear masks when holding baby -When within 3 feet of the baby outdoors please wear a mask, otherwise social distancing outside unmasked is fine OTHER THOUGHTS -if we’re feeling especially anxious on any given day or there have been spikes or outbreaks, further precautions might be in place, so if changing boundaries make you too uncomfortable, please FaceTime instead. THANK YOU so much for all your support, our family is so lucky to have friends like you!!!
