As Shakira prepares for and recovers from breast cancer surgery on May 15th, our family is incredibly grateful for the love and support surrounding her during this time. Shakira has always been someone who gives so much of herself—her time, her energy, and her love to others. She shows up for everyone in a spirit of excellence, and now it’s our turn to do the same as we show up for her and her family with that same level of care, intention, and support. To help keep things as smooth and stress-free as possible at home, we’ve created a simple way for friends and family to support the Reynolds family with meals and groceries. Their household keeps things pretty simple when it comes to food, and routine is especially important for the kids. Because they are autistic, familiar foods and consistency really matter—so sticking closely to the list is truly appreciated. We also kindly ask that you keep Shakira’s surgery and diagnosis private for now. Her mom, Barbara, is not yet aware, and we want to respect Shakira’s timing in sharing this news. Thank you for honoring this request with care and discretion. Thank you so much for supporting Shakira and her family with such care and understanding. Every thoughtful gesture helps create a sense of comfort and stability during this time, and we truly appreciate it 💛
To help keep things consistent and comfortable for the kids, please stick closely to the following food preferences: • Frozen fries: any brand is fine • Chicken: nuggets or strips only (no dino-shaped nuggets) • PB&J specifics: – Grape jelly only – Creamy peanut butter only – Bread: Nature’s Own Honey Wheat or Hawaiian bread • Cheese: – Medium or mild cheddar – Colby Jack (sliced) – No American cheese Thank you so much for helping us keep meals simple and familiar—we truly appreciate it 💛
