Helping Jackie survive and beat pancreatic cancer and thrive

W
Story

Hi, my name is Jackie and I have been on the ride of my life fighting for my life. Back in August of 2025 I was admitted to the hospital for acute pancreatitis and the pain was unbearable. It took a while but I finally made it back to work. Fast forward to January 2026 the pain returned and because I didn’t have insurance I assumed it was another attack. I started eating supper light and clean and just tried to flush my body out. The pain continued to get worse and I eventually became jaundice. I went to the hospital because it was beyond anything I could do at home or for myself without medical attention. Before I was even admitted they ran blood tests and did a CT with contrast and the Dr came down to the emergency department and informed me that I had pancreatic cancer and was being admitted for care and further testing. I was terrified and incredibly overwhelmed. I have been out of work since the end of January 2026 and I have been fighting hard. I have had a lot of challenges physically, mentally, emotionally, financially… I have felt incredibly helpless because all I can do it get my treatments, do my best to overcome the side effects of the chemo, go to my appointments and do my best to understand and beat this beast of a cancer. I am stage 3, it is currently only in my pancreas but because it has veins and artery involvement it is currently inoperable. The hope and plan is to continue chemotherapy to shrink it down to go in and hopefully remove. I have already done a few months of chemotherapy and recently changed to a different type of chemotherapy because the first one was not shrinking it enough. It hasn’t grown or spread but we need it to shrink. I am asking anyone and everyone to help any way you can. A couple dollars, share and spread the link to make it visible to others, I am desperately trying to survive and not lose everything. I am a single mom trying to not lose our home, keep food on the table and not lose my only means of transportation. Any help is needed and beyond appreciated. I have an amazing few people that have been getting me through this far but I need an army! This is a giant fight and I can’t do it alone.
