Team McGarvey is growing!!! We are so beyond thrilled and cannot wait to introduce this little one to all of the people we love. Right now, we have two showers planned — one in Maryland on May 24 and one in Dallas on June 20 — and we are so excited to celebrate with you. We would love for you to stay connected here for updates regarding Shannon’s labor and baby’s arrival. For those who wish to join us at the hospital, Connor will reveal the gender in the lobby of Baylor Medical in Dallas with either a pink or blue flag. 🤍 Shannon’s due date is July 13, but she is praying baby comes a week early since we are fully expecting a BIG BABY!!! We also fully welcome gender bets at the showers. We have intentionally chosen not to include baby clothes on our registry because we plan to get those secondhand, focus our resources on essentials, and wait to reveal the gender until baby arrives. 🩵💕🙌🏼 Once Shannon has had a little time to heal and settle in, we would love to have everyone over to our home in Dallas to celebrate and introduce our firstborn. Lynn and Connor will also be helping keep this page updated as news comes along, so this will be the best place to check in. And once baby is here, if you’d like to love us practically, you can sign up through the meal train to bring food, stop by, and meet baby. If you feel led to give a cash gift, those gifts will go toward our nursery, diaper, and 529 college savings fund. Cash gifts sent through GoFundMe can be written off. We did the math, and if baby goes through around 3,000 diapers in Year 1, we can expect to spend somewhere around $10,000 on diapers alone, which is both hilarious and deeply offensive.
