Will White, a 6th grader at Northern Middle School, has recently received a cancer diagnosis. His family is navigating the early days of a journey no parent or child should ever have to face. There's so much unknown right now, and every single day brings new challenges. And here's what makes this even more urgent: Will's mom, Ashley, is currently finishing her own cancer treatment. This family is fighting two battles at once, and they need their community to step in and carry what we can. One of the hardest parts that people don't always think about? Eating. Appetite becomes unpredictable during treatment, what sounds good changes hour to hour (or disappears completely), and the energy to figure out meals just isn't there. For a family already running on empty emotionally, mealtime becomes one more obstacle in an already overwhelming day. That's why we're asking for gift cards only... restaurants, delivery services, grocery stores, anything that gives this family the flexibility to eat what works on any given day. It's one of the most practical and meaningful ways to help right now. Let's rally around the Whites. Let's make sure they feel the full weight of this community behind them. Even the smallest gesture adds up when we all show up together 🙏
