As many of you know, Anita was recently diagnosed with Stage III Hodgkin Lymphoma. Everything changed very quickly for their family, and so many people have lovingly asked how they can help. ❤️ Anita has started what will be around six months of chemotherapy at MD Anderson, nearly an hour from home. Margaret is taking some FMLA to be there through the first few treatments, then will return to work as the family’s sole income while they continue navigating chemotherapy, Bentley’s school schedule, appointments, and everyday life at home. Because so much of their family and support system lives out of state, we wanted to create an easy way for people to love on them from wherever they are. Meals, grocery delivery, restaurant or grocery gift cards, or anything that takes even one small thing off their plate would make such a meaningful difference and give them more time to simply focus on getting through treatment together. There is absolutely no pressure to give. Your messages, check-ins, prayers and love already mean more than you know. This is simply a way to surround them with a little extra care and help lighten the everyday load during a season when they are carrying so much. ❤️
Anita, Maggie, and Bentley have no food restrictions, so there are plenty of ways to send them a little love! ❤️ They’ve added gift cards to some of their favorite restaurants to the profile, making it easy to treat them to a favorite meal whenever they need it. For groceries, we’ll have a grocery delivery option on Mondays for anyone local, and Instacart is a great way for friends and family out of state to help keep the fridge stocked from afar! We’ll also have an Amazon Wishlist available with other items that can help make everyday life a little easier for the family. Whether it’s dinner, groceries, something from their wishlist, or simply a small gesture to remind them how loved they are, every bit of support means so much. Let’s pull together, wrap our favorite girls (and Bentley our favorite guy!) in love, and help take a few things off their plate during the weeks ahead. 💕
