Well here we are. I've talked a bit about this to some of you out there. I'm a little over 2 weeks from my 1st surgery date, there will be at least 3 in total. As a BRCA1 positive patient this is a necessary surgery to hopefully prevent me from getting cancer. Most people do not know if you have more than 2 people in your family that have been diagnosed you more than likely also carry this genetic mutation. It is also super important to note that men are NOT immune to this. I appreciate all the positive and encouraging words I've received. A lot of you have offered your kindness and help for after so I've created this page to facilitate all this. Scotty will have his hands full taking care of the house, animals, kids, AND me, so any help is MORE than appreciative.
