Story
As many of you may already know, at the end of August I fell from the helicopter at work and damaged my right knee. The MRI confirmed that I have a complete ACL tear and double Meniscus tear with a bucket-handle tear that folded over itself. I have been communicating with Workers Compensation through L&I waiting for approvals to move forward with surgery so I can start the long road to recovery and hopefully get back on my feet and doing some things I love soon. My Surgery was recently approved and is scheduled for November 19th, which is earlier than I anticipated! After surgery I’ll be needing some general assistance with walking Farley, caring for the goats and chickens, and grocery runs, as I won’t be able to put any weight on my leg until, at earliest, December 19th. This page is a resource for me to hopefully enlist the help of my friends and extended family here, on or near Whidbey for tasks that I will need some help with. I will hopefully have most things around the property that need to be squared away before winter, done by the time I have surgery. As needed I will add tasks to this calendar and you can sign up to help depending on your availability. Please feel free to text/call/video chat with me so I don't go absolutely stir crazy being home bound. I would also like to host a few game nights, if anyone would be interested let me know! I'm grateful to have friends that are willing to help me through recovery! I absolutely plan to pay it forward!
Special Notes
For those who would like to feed me, I'm allergic to Cantaloupe and have an aversion to Pickles and Olives.
