I know many of you have recently found out about our dear friend Doug Watkins and his recent diagnosis.. He sadly was diagnosed with a fast-acting brain tumor, and doctors believe he may only have a week or two left. He is now requiring 24/7 supervision and care, as the cancer has affected his ability to control his impulses and safely be on his own. His wife, Rikki, of 44 years is facing the unimaginable reality of caring for him through his final days. She has had to step away from work to be by his side, and understandably, even the simplest everyday tasks have become overwhelming. We've creating this page to surround their family with practical love and support during this incredibly painful time. 🍲 MEALS If you're able to provide a home-cooked meal, order takeout, send a gift card, or contribute toward groceries, it would take one more thing off her plate. She shouldn't have to worry about cooking when her focus needs to be on her husband and family. She has requested no visitors to enter the home at this time as Doug requires a lot of attention and care and its hard to leave him even for a moment. We will put a cooler outside in case they are unable to come to the door at the time of delivery.. 💛 FINANCIAL SUPPORT Being out of work while providing around-the-clock care has created an additional financial burden. Any financial contribution, no matter how small, can help with meals, groceries, household expenses, medical needs, and the many unexpected costs that come with this situation. You can send monetary donations to @Carly-watkins-0 https://venmo.com/u/Carly-watkins-0 Most importantly, please keep Doug and Rikki and their family in your prayers. They are facing something no family should ever have to face, and we want them to feel surrounded by love rather than having to carry this alone. Thank you for loving this family, for showing up, and for giving whatever you are able to give—whether that's a meal, a donation, an errand, an hour of your time, or simply a prayer. ❤️
