Story
Jenni is preparing to begin the next phase of her cancer journey with reconstruction surgery. She has opted for the Diep flap procedure which is more complex but ultimately better for her long-term health, though it means a more challenging recovery initially. Her journey will have two steps: First, on February 6th, she'll have outpatient expander surgery to prepare for her final reconstruction. While she'll return home the same day, she'll have limited arm mobility while the drain tubes are in and need some extra help. Then, on April 1st, she'll undergo her final reconstruction surgery, Diep flap, which requires a 3-day hospital stay followed by 6-8 weeks of medical leave. During this time, she'll again have restricted arm movement and additional medical needs. Any support to help ease Jenni's load during these recoveries would be deeply appreciated. Your continued care means so much as she moves forward with this important phase of her healing journey.
Special Notes
Jenni loves pasta, sandwiches, Thai food, Mexican, etc. but is not a fan of seafood, mushrooms, pineapple or anything majorly spicy. She always loves a great gluten free or dairy free meal mixed in as well. If delivering a meal is too hard - never fear they love door dash, instacarting, a heat and eat meal or whatever your favorite meal prep service is. Their dogs are great but one is a rescue and nervous around new and unfamiliar people. So if you sign up for a walk and are new, allow for extra time to bond with her before hand.
