Meal Train for The Appollonio’s

Logansport, IN

Story

This Meal Train has been created to support Alex and his family during an incredibly difficult and unexpected time. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, what appeared to be a simple cold within the household quickly became something far more serious for Alex. After developing severe symptoms, he was admitted for care and has remained hospitalized in Indianapolis since that time. Following multiple complications and extensive testing, Alex was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Philadelphia chromosome negative). He is currently in the first phase of treatment and is expected to remain hospitalized for several weeks. Alex is on a cancer unit and is severely immunocompromised. For the safety of all patients, flowers and balloons are not permitted. Cards are welcome and may be dropped off at the family’s home for pickup. During this time, the family is balancing long hospital days, caring for their children, and managing life away from home. Providing meals is a simple but meaningful way to ease their daily load and allow them to focus on Alex’s care and their children’s well-being. Most importantly, please keep Alex, Megan, and their children in your thoughts and prayers. The love and support already shown—especially toward the girls—has meant more than words can express. Thank you for coming alongside them during such a critical time.
