Share the Love for Veronica

McKinney, TX

Story

Three days before Christmas, our family received an unexpected turn. Veronica suffered a serious leg injury that has left her homebound, unable to go to work, and facing a long road to recovery. If you know her, you know she is strong, independent, and usually the one showing up for everyone else. Asking for help does not come naturally to her. But right now, healing requires rest, consistency, and community. As her only child, I am doing everything I can to support her while continuing to work full-time. I cannot be with her around the clock, and that is where the love of friends and family becomes so important. This page exists to make it easy for those who have asked, “How can I help?” to do exactly that. What She Needs Most Right Now • Nutritious meals that require little to no preparation • Short visits or check-ins so she isn’t alone all day • In-kind support such as grocery deliveries, transportation assistance, household essentials, or recovery supplies • Financial support to help cover unexpected expenses during her healing period Every contribution, whether a meal, a visit, or a donation, directly supports her comfort, safety, and peace of mind during this season. Why Your Support Matters Healing from an injury like this can feel isolating. A warm meal, a familiar face, or knowing someone cared enough to help lifts more than physical weight. It restores her spirit. It reminds her that she is not doing this alone. Your generosity also gives me peace of mind knowing she is cared for while I am at work and doing my best to balance everything. From the Bottom of Our Hearts Thank you for reading, for caring, and for supporting my mom in whatever way feels right to you. Whether you give time, food, resources, or prayers, it all matters more than you know. We are deeply grateful for this community and for you. With love and appreciation, Chanelle
