On October 5th, Elisha, a beloved friend, Black trans artist and member of queer community on Duwamish land, is getting top surgery, a life saving procedure they have wanted for years. Elisha writes; "Since I was 14, I haven't felt at home in my body and it has greatly affected my mental health and my feeling of safety in places I go over the years. I have waited so long for this and now I finally have a chance to make it happen." Let's come together and support them and their partner, Chuy, during the recovery process, by covering one meal a day (home cooked, take-out, or gift cards welcome) for the next 3 weeks!
Here's some info and guidance about what to make/order! Eli doesn't like mayo or sour cream. We don't like Chipotle or QDoba. We both love mangos, fresh fruits, plantains, rice, veggies, beans, fish, meats, healthy things, etc. We want to make sure we eat nutritious meals so that recovery is its best.
