    Jillian's VIP Healing Club

    Nashville, TN

    Story

    Two things are true:
 1. Jillian has a brain tumor.
 2. Jillian has epilepsy. And if you know Jill, you know a third thing is just as true: she’s meeting all of this with grace, strength, and her signature sense of humor — because, in her own words, “I’ve got shit to do and disco balls to dance under.” This journey started back in January, when Jill began experiencing intense, unshakable waves of déjà vu. For months, she kept track of the episodes, wondering if stress might be to blame. Then on May 16, while in Vegas, she had what we now understand was a full seizure. Thankfully, Christopher was right by her side. He got her home to Nashville safely, and she made the decision to head to the ER. A scan revealed a cyst on her brain — the likely source of the déjà vu episodes, known as “auras,” that she’d been experiencing. From there, everything moved quickly. Jill transferred to the Cleveland Clinic, where she’s now under the care of an exceptional medical team who treat her like the true VIP she is (hello stack of wristbands!). The diagnosis: a brain tumor. Surgery to remove it is scheduled for July 3. While it doesn’t appear cancerous, we’ll know for sure after the biopsy. She’ll remain on epilepsy medication as part of her ongoing treatment. Her doctors are very confident in this plan forward — but, as with any major surgery, recovery will take time. The weeks following will be focused on healing, rest, and slowly regaining strength. And that’s where we come in. In all the years I’ve known Jill, she’s never been one to ask for anything. In fact, she’s the one who shows up with a well-curated care package, a surprise Topo Chico delivery at your door, tickets to a show, or a cross-country flight just to be with you during a hard time. She gives, constantly and effortlessly, without question. And right by her side is Christopher, who didn’t hesitate for one second. The moment she said she needed him, he was on the next flight. That’s just who he is — reliable, kind and endlessly generous. He’s been her rock through every step, and as he continues to support her, we want to make sure he feels supported too — with check-ins, coffee breaks, and space to breathe when he needs it most. Now it’s our turn to show up for them — to surround them both with the kind of love and care they’ve given so many of us. If you're here, thank you for being a friend.
