Story

Life has a way of changing in an instant. Over the past decade, Courtney has lovingly cared for her mother, Sherry Sue Boyse, as she faced the challenges of Alzheimer's disease and declining health. Through every doctor's appointment, difficult decision, and emotional milestone, Courtney showed up with unwavering love, patience, advocacy, and devotion. On June 13, 2026, Sherry peacefully passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her deeply. Sherry was the kind of person who made everyone feel welcome. She never met a stranger, loved telling stories, and had a gift for making people feel at home. Her faith, generosity, and love for family shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. As Courtney navigates the days and weeks ahead, she is balancing grief, funeral arrangements, family responsibilities, and the many practical tasks that come with losing a parent. Like so many caregivers, she spent years putting others first and now finds herself in a season where she could use the support of those around her. We created this page because many friends and family members have asked, "How can we help?" The truth is that even simple acts of kindness can make a tremendous difference right now. Whether it's providing a meal, sending a gift card, offering a prayer, sharing an encouraging message, or helping with everyday needs, your support allows Courtney and her family the time and space to grieve, heal, and celebrate Sherry's life. Thank you for walking alongside Courtney during this difficult season. Your kindness, generosity, and love are deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten. As Sherry often reminded those she loved through both her words and actions, family, friendship, and showing up for one another are what matter most. Thank you for helping us do exactly that.
