Elizabeth Parks Scott’s Healing Hands for a Hurting Season

Story

I created this page after being overwhelmed—in the best way—by the support from friends and family who wanted a tangible way to help us. This year has been, quite frankly, devastating. It has brought us to our knees more than any other season in our lives. Parks was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in March, and I was diagnosed with breast cancer in October. And of course, those headlines don’t even begin to capture everything else we’ve been navigating. It’s a lot to carry as a wife, a mother, and a nurse. To anyone reading this: please know how deeply appreciative we are that you’re here, that you care, and that you want to support us. Our village is incredible. When you’re down and out, you realize how much the people around you matter—and I strive to be the same kind of friend to you that you’ve been to me. Praying that each of you stays well and continues to enjoy your blessings.
