I am creating this page for my best friends, the Falquez family—people who have walked beside me during one of the most difficult seasons of my life and who continue to stand by me as I navigate my cancer journey. When things have felt heavy, uncertain, or overwhelming, they have shown up without hesitation, offering love, prayer, encouragement, and steady support—not just to me, but to so many others who have needed it along the way, including those reading this now. Nick and his wife are loving parents to their two young children and are a deeply cherished part of both Kendall Christian School and Christ Fellowship communities. They are the kind of people who quietly and faithfully show up for others—no matter the time, place, or circumstance. Their hearts for service, compassion, and genuine care for those around them are evident in everything they do. Nick was recently diagnosed with lymphoma, a diagnosis no one saw coming, bringing unexpected challenges and uncertainty to their family. Now, as they walk through this heavy, heartbreaking season, our community has the opportunity to surround them with the same love and care they have so freely given to so many. We are deeply thankful for a community the Lord has blessed us with—families who show up faithfully in prayer, financially, and physically, particularly during seasons when the weight feels heavy and no one should have to walk alone. Please continue to keep Nick, his wife, and their children in your thoughts and prayers as they move forward with strength, hope, and trust in what lies ahead. At this time, the children are not aware of Nick’s diagnosis, so we kindly ask that this information be kept private out of respect for their family. “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
