Zach developed hydrocephalus which he needed a shunt placement 10/4/25. Just a couple days ago we noticed he had a huge bump on the back of his head, and he was tired and more fussy then usual (this can be signs of his shunt malfunction or draining too little) we took him to the er and found out his shunt malfunction and failed. He went into surgery the next morning to get it replaced. He was doing great till around midnight on 12/14/25. His oxygen levels dropped into the 50s and he was placed on a ventilator, he is currently on a ventilator, and doing an eeg looking for seizure like activity.
