Sutura’s Circle of Strength — United, We’re Stronger Than Cancer If you know my story, you know I’ve spent much of the last decade reclaiming my life and freedom after a con man took my life savings and wrecked my home—all while running a private medical practice and seeing patients, spending every free moment between patient appointments power tools in hand, pearls still on. I became my own lawyer, general contractor, a live in landlord, and full-time business owner and NP to make ends meet. I rebuilt a third of my home, brick by brick as I did my life. I’d just finished, finally exhaled, and started planning my next chapter… and then, right before my birthday, came another plot twist: early-onset breast cancer. Where things stand: It was caught early, there’s no sign it has spread, and I’ll likely avoid chemo. I will now be getting a partial mastectomy and radiation. I’ve paused my practice to make space for healing, and as a self employed small business owner don’t get any paid time off from work or help paying for health insurance or medical bills (however having met 50% of my go fund me goal, I can now afford the rest of my out of pocket maximum and monthly premiums for the remainder of this year ❤️ ! Trying to sell my now newly rebuilt Street of Dreams house where dreams were born and died and nightmares as well as epic success stories came to life all under the flutter of unassuming cherry blossom petals twirling in the wind.
