Erin’s Surprise Surgery - assist during recovery

Stoughton, MA

Story

On **Thursday, February 12, 2026**, Erin was at home when she suddenly suffered a seizure. Thanks to a quick call to 911, she was rushed to **Tufts Medical Center**, where doctors quickly discovered a large mass on the frontal lobe of her brain. With little time to process the news, Erin and her family were faced with the unimaginable. Surgery was scheduled for the very next day — **Friday, February 13th**. Thankfully, the procedure went well, and the surgeon was able to fully remove the mass. While more testing is ahead, Erin is now home and recovering. Although she is doing well, the road to recovery will take time. Erin won’t be able to work, drive, or manage everyday household tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry for the next several weeks. She is also a devoted caretaker for her mom, and alternate arrangements will need to be made during this period. Erin, her husband John, their sweet pup Frankie, and kitty Piggy are incredibly grateful to be back home together. Right now, their focus is on healing and rest. If you are able to help in any way — whether through a monetary donation or sending a meal to ease the burden over the next month or two — it would mean more than words can say. Every bit of support allows Erin to focus fully on her recovery. Thank you for surrounding this family with love and strength. #friends4friends
