Corrine had "ACDF surgery" for for her C3-C6 neck vertebrae. ACDF surgery (Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion) is a neck operation that removes a damaged disc to fix pinched nerves or spinal cord pressure. It uses a cut in the front of the throat, takes out the bad disc, and joins the neck bones together with a graft. Corrine has a a minimum of 2 months recovery and both she and her sweet family need meal support during this time. Let's plan 2-3 meals a week-- primarily dinner meals, with some intermittent breakast sign-ups and snack baskets for a family of 6.
Corrine can only have soft foods for the first 2 weeks, due to her esophagus being moved during the surgery & intubation. She will also be wearing a neck brace for 8 weeks when walking outside of her house or in the car, at a minimum. Corrine will update once she is able to resume all foods.
