Help Lisa Conquer Round 2! (The Right Hip) Hi friends, family, and my wonderful circle: Well, we did it once, and now it’s time for the sequel! On July 28, I am heading back in for hip replacement surgery, this time to get my right hip matching my brand-new left one. While the first surgery was a major success and got me back to moving, this right hip has decided it's done playing nice. It’s time to get it taken care of so I can finally get back to everything I love completely pain-free: hiking, paddleboarding, teaching BodyPump, dancing, and just living life to the fullest. Because we’ve been down this road before, I know exactly what to expect, which makes me a little less scared but just as ready to get to the healing side of things. And just like last time, while I love my independence, I know how much a smooth recovery relies on the incredible community around me. How You Can Help I’ll be recovering at home again, and having your support makes all the difference in the world. Here is what would help the most this time around: 🌱 Meals: I am sticking to my specific food plan to help my body heal efficiently. As a reminder, here is the blueprint for lunch and dinner: *4 oz protein * 6 oz veggies * 3 oz grain * 6 oz salad * 6 oz fruit (Please, no flour or sugar. My body and brain thank you!) 🚗 Errands: Quick grocery runs, picking up things at the pharmacy, or handling small tasks around Davis. 👯♀️ Company & Laughs: Recovering at home can get a little quiet, so I absolutely love visitors! Afternoon visits are perfect for breaking up the day. Bring your best stories, your worst jokes, a puzzle, or just come sit, pull some cards, and hang out. No need for formal time slots, just shoot me a quick text before you head over to make sure I'm awake and up for company. My door and heart are open between 7 AM and 8 PM. 💳 Gifts (Optional): If cooking or running errands isn't your thing, grocery gift cards, meal delivery credits, or a coffee fund for the sweet souls helping me out are always incredibly appreciated. But truly, just having your good vibes and love in my corner is the biggest gift. Why This Means So Much Taking care of this second hip is the final step to fully getting my body and my active life back. I am so deeply grateful for everyone who checked in, dropped off food, or sent a text during Round 1, and I appreciate you all just as much as I head into Round 2. I’ll keep everyone updated right here on this page as I progress. Get ready for more victorious photos of my first walks down the block! 🏅 With love, hope, and plenty of post-op sass, Lisa P.S. Feel free to share this link via text or email with friends who might want to know, but please keep it off social media so we can keep things personal. Thank you! ❤️
